New Story on Risks of Deep Sea Mining

Plenty Magazine has recently written a good piece on the potential hazards of deep sea mining.

The article hits it on the head that the technology and industry are advancing far ahead of precautionary regulations that could help avert an environmental disaster. It is critical that Papua New Guinea assumes a leadership role in developing deep sea mining regulations that can be used as a model worldwide.

Oceans and Communities continues to work with villagers from Bagabag Island and community activists to amplify their concerns over deep sea mining and to press for regulatory reform.
